Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Beauty Salon Manager who can also fulfil the responsibilities of a Backup Beauty Therapist, leading our team and delivering high-quality treatments in our beauty salon. As the Salon Manager and backup Beauty Therapist, you will create an ambiance of tranquillity and excellence that meets our service standards and provides a remarkable experience for our clients.Your role extends to managing a team of professionals, including admin staff, nail technicians, eyelash technicians, permanent makeup artists, lipolytic injection therapists, beauty therapists and aestheticians. Key responsibilities include coordinating staff schedules, managing the appointment calendar, maintaining product and equipment inventory, stepping in to perform beauty treatments when necessary, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Guide, mentor, and manage a diverse team of beauty professionals, promoting a positive and professional workspace that encourages growth.
  • Lead recruitment initiatives, training programs, and continuous learning opportunities to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  1. Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee the day-to-day salon operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and overall ambiance.
  • Manage appointment schedules efficiently to ensure maximum staff utilization, minimize client waiting times, and enhance overall client satisfaction.
  • Foster relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of top-quality products and state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Develop, implement, and reinforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee consistent, top-tier service delivery across all treatments and client interactions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging techniques, and innovations to continually expand and enhance our service portfolio.
  1. Receptionist Responsibilities:
    • Oversee front desk operations, greet clients warmly, and manage phone calls professionally.
  • Handle bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling of appointments in an efficient manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries and providing information about our services.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  1. Superior Customer Service:
  • Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that prioritizes client comfort and satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, always aiming to exceed client expectations and uphold our reputation for excellence.
  1. Backup Beauty Therapy Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Backup Beauty Therapist, stepping in to deliver a wide array of treatments such as facials, massages, waxing, etc., adhering to professional standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
  • Provide personalized consultation and advice to clients about skincare routines, recommend appropriate products from our retail line, and answer any questions they may have.

Preferred Candidate must have:

  • Proven experience as a Beauty Salon Manager and Backup Beauty Therapist within the beauty industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of a broad range of salon services and beauty treatments.
  • Proficient negotiation and presentation skills, coupled with excellent time management and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as salon management software and appointment scheduling systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

  • A recognized 3 year somatology qualification (e.g., CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a spa or beauty salon environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in a wide range of beauty treatments.
  • Proficiency in retail sales with a track record of achieving sales targets.
