Global e-Talent It is a privately owned company based in Gauteng South Africa and service all provinces in South Africa, countries in Africa and the rest of the world.

Gigsonline is an online portal powered by Global e-Talent with the purpose to host database of job seekers and use that information to match candidate with prospective employment and assist candidates in creating curriculum vitae (CV). By submitting information on Gigsonline candidates agree to have their information used and shared for the purpose of job employment, development opportunities such as Development programmes and Internship programmes or related programmes for personal development.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy lasts 15 days. If 15 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer refund or exchange.
Refund is applicable where a transaction was charged multiple times for the same or where there’s a fault with the template chosen.
All cv templates are displayed before payment to allow user to make a choice.
All refunds will be processed within 30 days from date of receipt of refund request.

Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

  1.          INTRODUCTION

This manual has been compiled in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000) (“the Act”). The Constitution further provides for enactment of national legislation in order to give effect to the right of access to information and to regulate the implementation thereof and that saw the subsequent coming into being of the Act, which came into operation on 9 March 2001. The Act aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • to give effect to the constitutional right of access to information held by the State; and
  • to give effect to that right subject to justifiable limitations, including, but not limited to, reasonable protection of privacy, commercial confidentiality and effective, efficient and good governance and in a manner which balances that right with any other rights, including the rights in the Bill of Rights in Chapter 2 of the Constitution; and
  • generally, to promote transparency, accountability and effective governance of all public bodies by, including, but not limited to, empowering and educating everyone to understand their rights in terms of the Act in order to exercise their rights in relation to public bodies; to understand the functions and operations of public bodies; and to effectively scrutinise, and participate in, decision-making by public bodies that affect their rights.

This portal is aimed at linking candidates and recruiters and therefore Form A will not be applicable for the recruiter to obtain a copy of candidate cv or record for the purpose of job opportunity.

4. SOUTH AFRICAN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION GUIDE ON HOW TO USE THE ACT

6. SUBJECTS AND CATEGORIES OF RECORDS:

7. THE PROCEDURE TO REQUEST INFORMATION

7.1 A requester must be given access to a record of a public body if a requester complies with the following :

a) The requester complies with all the procedural requirements in the Act relating to the request for access to that record, and

b) Access to that record is not refused on any ground of refusal mentioned in the Act.

7.2 How to request access to a record:

a) A requested must use the form that has been published in the Government Gazette [Government Notice R187 dated 15th February, 2002] (Form A).
b) The requester must also indicate if the request is for a copy of the record or if the requester wants to come in and view the record at the offices of the Gigsonline. Alternatively, if the record is not a document, it can then be viewed in the requested form, where possible [section 29(2)].
c) If a person asks for access in a particular form then the requester should get access in the manner that has been asked for, unless doing so would interfere unreasonably with the running of the Gigsonline, or damage the record, or infringe the copyright not owned by Gigsonline.
d) If for practical reasons access cannot be given in the required form but in an alternate manner, access will be given in that alternate manner provided that the fee charged may not exceed what would have been charged if the requester had been given access in the form requested [section 29(4)].
e) If, in addition to a written reply to their request for the record, the requester wishes the reply to their request to be communicated in other ways, e.g. telephone or e-mail, then this must be indicated.
f) If the requester is asking ap information on behalf of somebody else, the capacity in which the request is being made should be indicated [section 18(2)(f)].
g) If a requester is illiterate and is unable to make a request for access to a record held by Gigsonline in accordance with section 18 Z (1) of the Act, then the request may be made orally. The information officer must then fill in the form on behalf of such a requester and give them a copy [section 19(3)].

7.3. Particulars required in the prescribed form
The requester must at least, in the prescribed form, provide the following information:

a) sufficient particulars to enable the Information Officer to identify the record or records requested;
b) to indicate the said form how he or she would like to be furnished with the information (fax, post or e-mail);
c) to specify his or her postal address or fax number in the Republic;

d) if the request is made on behalf of another person, to submit proof of the capacity in which the requester is making the request, to the reasonable satisfaction of the information officer.

8. PRESCRIBED FEES (SECTION 54)

  • The following applies to requests (other than personal requests): A Requestor is required to pay the prescribed request fees before a request will be processed, which fees are prescribed in terms of PAIA.
  • Records may be withheld until the fees have been paid.
  • If the request is granted then an additional fee, in terms of the regulations regarding PAIA, may be required to be paid for the searching for and compiling of the records requested, including copying charges.
  • The prescribed fees for requests to private bodies, are available on the website of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, www.justice.gov.za/inforeg/.

9. AVAILABILITY OF THE MANUAL
The Manual is available:

  • on the Company’s website; and
  • upon request to the Managing Director Company and upon the payment of a reasonable prescribed fee where applicable.
