Our client, a fast growing IT consultancy requires an Engineer who would be responsible for installations where engineering support is required, ensuring solutions are set up as well as making recommendations on new solutions.Successful incumbent would work under limited supervision, performing routine activities and taking on non-routine activities. It is of importance that meeting of Service Level Agreements is adhered to and that focus on meeting customer expectations is a priority.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Resolve escalations from other team members and have good knowledge of working area, processes and required technical skills
• File & Print Server Setup and Management NTFS permissions
• Active Directory
• Management Group Policy
• Management Backups
• File share
• WSUS setup and maintenance
• VMware administration
• MS Exchange administration Windows updates WSUS. Hyper-V Servers.
• PDC and HQ Terminal server licensesing Windows patching

Minimum requirements:

• Matric certificate + relevant IT certification or equivalent;
• 5 years working experience in a similar role ideally qualified to support WINDOWS;
• 5 years’ working experience installing, implementing and maintaining end user services and hardware;
• A good understanding of the requirements of  a “service level agreement”  (IT environment);
• Own reliable transport is essential
