Job Description

Purpose of the job

The incumbent is required to secure quality product orders in the segment, in the correct quantity and value, through a combination of defined processes, detailed planning, effective controls, and transparent stakeholder communication, to meet operational and strategic company targets.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Provide Strategic sales input to Sales to enhance decision making.
  • Facilitate sales enquiries from inception, through sale, contract management and delivery of product.
  • Manage the standard products sales to achieve set targets and deliverables.
  • Compliance with all organisation’s regulations and commercial standards.
  • Manage strategic customer relationships.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and reporting.
  • Negotiate contracts.

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Matric
  • 5 Years of sales and tendering experience within an engineering environment.
  • Commercial exposure.
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • SAP.
  • Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Marketing qualification (Advantageous).
