Job Description
Purpose of the job
The incumbent is required to secure quality product orders in the segment, in the correct quantity and value, through a combination of defined processes, detailed planning, effective controls, and transparent stakeholder communication, to meet operational and strategic company targets.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Provide Strategic sales input to Sales to enhance decision making.
- Facilitate sales enquiries from inception, through sale, contract management and delivery of product.
- Manage the standard products sales to achieve set targets and deliverables.
- Compliance with all organisation’s regulations and commercial standards.
- Manage strategic customer relationships.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and reporting.
- Negotiate contracts.
Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required
- Matric
- 5 Years of sales and tendering experience within an engineering environment.
- Commercial exposure.
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- SAP.
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Marketing qualification (Advantageous).
