Job Description
The Organisation is currently looking for a qualified actuary. This position will involve the successful candidate running a small team and working closely with the Head of Actuarial Development, being responsible for items such as:
- Product pricing
- IFRS17 implementation
- New product models
- Claims investigations
- Valuation data migration
- Ad-hoc actuarial input
- Other ad-hoc projects.
In addition to traditional insurance work, the successful candidate will also be involved with the newly launched program by the Organisation, as well as other new initiatives currently being planned in the non-insurance space. This position would be ideal for a candidate with the following:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, qualified.
- Experience in the Life Industry is essential valuations, Embedded value, and product pricing.
- Experience with using actuarial modelling software such as Basys, Prophet or Moses as well as experience with Qlikview or SQL will count in the candidates favour.
- Strong attention to detail.
- IFRS17 experience will be a major advantage.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and Excel skills.
- Motivated and a team player.
- Management experience will be an advantage.
