Job Description

Purpose of the job 

The incumbent is responsible to project plan, execute and control a variety of projects in the PPR & PSC environment, to ensure they are successfully completed and delivered on time in accordance with budgets set, deadlines, contracts and customer requirements.

Environmental, Safety & Health

  1. Direct responsibility for the Health, Safety and Environment of all employees who either directly work in your area of control, or who visit the operational areas you are responsible for either internal or external visitors. Including full legal & company compliance in areas under your responsibility.
  2. Develop a positive safety culture through the organisation’s Behavioural Safety Program.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for order acknowledgment and lead time acceptance, as well as systematic date management feeding to MRP coordinator and adjust schedules accordingly.
  2. Ensuring that the project POs are loaded correctly and launched in a timely professional manner.
  3. Developing and maintaining relationships and interfaces with other key functions within Sulzer to drive all aspects of Engineering, Procurement and Production.
  4. Acting as the main point of contact for project communication for PPR as well as PSC.
  5. Providing timely management/ business feedback.
  6. Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection, and continual improvement.
  7. Cost saving
  8. Project planning and control.
  9. On time issuing of equipment and loading and cleaning of project requirements to achieve on time delivery.
  10. Procurement / Suppliers coordinating.
  11. Fulfilment of project specific Sulzer and customer requirements.
  12. Project documentation compilation and receipting.
  13. Key customer interface
  14. All other duties relevant to the role.

Continuous Improvement

  1. Participation in the development & implementation of Lean principles for Continuous improvement.
  2. Be a Lean Champion.

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required

  • Subcontractor management experience.
  • Experience in the Engineering/ Manufacturing project coordinating environment.
  • Primavera / MS Projects experience.
  • Computer Literate.
