Job Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Strategy Manager is responsible for research, data analysis, insights and developing marketing strategies to meet the company’s goals. They oversee the mining of data and interpret results from multiple sources, create the appropriate strategy to ensure the marketing and company objectives are met.

Marketing Strategy:
- In the marketing strategy manager role, you will be responsible for identifying the appropriate strategy to achieve company’s and marketing divisions objectives.
- Success in this role will be demonstrated by your ability to help bolster the company’s market share while remaining consistent with brand identity.
- Ensures marketing strategies align with overall business strategy.
- Use research and insights from big data to guide marketing strategies to launch for new market and new products.
Analysis:
- Tasked with identifying trends, patterns and anomalies found in big data sets and develop insights by performing extensive data analysis.
- Analyses sales, marketing, and product key performance indicators.
- Oversee interpretation of results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
- Provides analysis and recommendations to the marketing and communications team based on the insights, objectives, and strategy.
- Analyse sales and marketing metrics to recommend additional successful campaigns and optimise budget.
- Keep abreast of and forecast industry and market trends and make recommendations to improve position.
- Uses customer feedback to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Campaign ROMI and ROAS analysis and recommendations.
- Helps shape the brand positioning and narrative while targeting the audiences based on research, analysis, and feedback.
Research:
- Spearhead market research efforts, Primary, Secondary, Desktop research.
- Research competitors and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Manage relationships with research houses to conduct Competitor, Segmentation, Brand health/equity, Product, Satisfaction and Consumer Value Proposition research (to mention a few) to ensure we remain competitive and achieve our objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in research, Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, or related field
- Data and Insights driven.
- Proven track record of Data analysis, research, and marketing / commercial strategy
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership skills
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 – 7 years’ experience as a Marketing Strategist
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with Big Data analysis or managing data scientists
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Primary Research and developing Insights
