Job Description
Responsible for all areas of Maintenance “Buildings, Plant, Machinery, Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
- Assist in the maintenance planning, scheduling, and control. Do maintenance on factory, site and buildings including Office repairs.
- Attend all breakdowns & repairs requested either through workshop repair order safety
representative building inspection or 5S audit reports. - Insure smooth operation of machine and tools.
- Control lockout procedures and hot work permit.
- Hot work permit is in place before any work is started.
- Do maintenance inspections as required
- Breakdowns & repairs as per job card.
- Assist and do Preventative maintenance, services on machines and buildings when required.
- Safety talk and meetings.
- Administration, job cards.
- Uphold safety rules and regulations.
- Work Standby / Call outs. 16. Tools- Toolbox check.
- Look after personal equipment.
- Clean up after each job.
- Subcontractors must sign indemnity.
- Collect and record all maintenance services where required.
- Complete risk assessments.
- Conduct minor fabrication work.
- Allocate duties, monitor, and train apprentices under your control.
- Conduct continuous inspections for unsafe conditions and unsafe equipment and use safety
equipment where necessary. - Apply good housekeeping in all aspects.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the maintenance manager.
- Obey to working hours and time keeping.
- Recommend changes or modifications to maintenance manager.
- Signing off data sheets on completed jobs.
- Source innovative technology
- Abide to safety regulations.
Job requirements
- Minimum 5 years working as a maintenance millwright.” After Qualification”
- Accredited apprenticeship (millwright) minimum 4 years with a red seal.
- General knowledge on electrical/mechanical drawings.
- General computer & software skills.
- General knowledge of machine tools.
- General knowledge of safety, electrical, and building regulations
- General knowledge of CNC machines
- General knowledge of conventional machines. (Lathe, milling and drilling machines
- PLC and Drive Experience (Siemens and Fanuc Controls) AC and DC drive Experience.
- Own transport with a Code 08 license

- Decisions are (shared) with maintenance manager.
- Show respect to fellow workers, Managers, and superiors.
- Report misuse of plant, Equipment, and machines to the maintenance manager.
- Inform Maintenance manager of any malfunctions
