Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of the role is to provide paralegal assistance and support to the Chief Risk Officer through a variety of support-based and administrative duties.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- 3 -5 years relevant experience
- Experience as a Paralegal will be an advantage
- A RPL (recognition of prior learning) process may be considered for this role in
- conjunction with minimum qualifications.
ROLE OUTPUTS
- Provide support to the Chief Risk Officer in furthering the aims and objectives of the governance legal services function of the Organisation.
- Offer administrative support through coordinating diaries, scheduling meetings, minute taking, distributing minutes to attendees, formatting of documents, filing of agreements, maintenance of contract management system, processing expense claims, and any other specific administration function that may be required from time to time.
- Prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure efficient, accurate, and timeous completion of all relevant documentation.
- Take responsibility for the application and utilisation of systems to ensure accurate and timeous record keeping.
- Deliver or collect documents to or from relevant parties as per specified instructions in a timely manner
- Take ownership of administration related queries and ensure that they are timeously and effectively resolved.
- Ensure that all transactional activities take place in a timely fashion to operate a reliable administrative support process.
- Update Governance processes and files in a timeous fashion.
- Continuously strive to enhance and improve the Governance Services processes.
- Ensure effective financial management, control, and corporate governance.
- Take accountability for the management of business-related risks.
- Ensure effective relationships and SLA management with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships between the Governance Function and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
- Provide a professional Governance service.
- Set a stellar example by always living the values of the organisation.
- Collaborate and work with the Governance Function and other internal teams to
- deliver required service levels.
- Ensure achievement of own performance objectives.
- Actively share information with other team members regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas.
