Job Description

The main purpose of this position is to design and manage the implementation of change management strategies, frameworks, and capability within the Prudential Authority (PA).

Detailed description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  • Provide detailed analysis of the current and desired state.
  • Develop and implement a change management strategy and plan to manage the change process.
  • Develop an effective stakeholder and communication strategy to ensure that the change activities are communicated to all the impacted stakeholders.
  • Conduct change readiness assessments and identify the barriers to change.
  • Identify the areas of resistance and develop a resistance management plan.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with the PA’s change influencers.
  • Propose and implement the change interventions necessary for the success of the change projects within the PA.
  • Conduct post-implementation assessments to assess, among other things, the realisation of the project benefits, the adoption rate and the proficiency levels of end users.
  • Ensure that changes are reinforced and sustained.
  • Work closely with trainers, ensure that stakeholders are identified for training, and evaluate the training.

Job requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

  • a Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in preferably Behavioural Science, Communication or any related field;
  • a minimum of 5–8 years of work experience.
  • any relevant change management certification.
  • change management theory and practice.
  • working experience at a change management consultant level for projects in a multifunctional organisation; and experience in:
    • project-managing change initiatives or other relevant business experience.
    • facilitating workshops; and
    • negotiating for desired outcomes.
